Uche Ofodile Becomes Regional Head-Africa for Express Wifi

Uche Ofodile has become the Regional Head-Africa for Express Wifi. She is to work together with her team and partners towards expanding internet connectivity across Africa

Announcing the news on Facebook.com, she expressed her elation at this new frontier, and the opportunity to reconnect with old friends, a new exciting team, as well as London -a city she really loves.

“As a key component of internet.org’s mission to connect the two thirds of the world that is not already connected, the goal of Express Wi-Fi is to help expand connectivity to underserved locations around the world through Wi-Fi. Not only do we aim to increase the number of internet users; we also help create and empower local entrepreneurs!

I am so proud of the work the team has done so far and we will continue to build on this in Africa. I am super excited to be joining the team” she said.


Until this new appointment, Uche who has over 20 years of experience under her belt was with Tigo’s DRC office as CEO, and before that, Vodafone Ghana as Chief Marketing Officer. Uche also worked with the Nigerian office of Econet Wireless (now Airtel) and Nutricima, a joint venture between PZ Cussons, plc. (UK) and Glanbia (Ireland) serving Nigeria, Ghana and Kenya.
